"my stay on wilson ward"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

Anything else?

I collapsed with blood clots which comprimised my heart & after initially being on a8 & a10 i was put on wilson ward, what an amazing ward, the care & treatment i got through out my whole 2 wk stay was wonderful, especially on wilson ward.g everyone just worked together from the cleaners, the people giving out meals etc 2 the nursing staff & doctors, everything was explained & i felt in good hands! I also have 2 mention 1 of the male nurses who on my last night i witnessed sit & comfort a dying lady, it was v touching & moving, it as so nice 2 c a nurse have the time 2 be able 2 do this! My outpatient appt came quickly as well! Only downside was th doctor's sec, 3 wks after my o/p appt i rang on several ocassions she never picked up then left a message explaining i was struggling with my breathing & getting bad chest pains, i said i was still waiting 4 a follow up heart scan & cud she please call me back, she didnt, i ended up going 2 my gp who spoke 2 her re heart scan, im hoping the appt comes this wk as im still suffering above & bad odema in my feet & legs 4 which diretics r needed but my gp needs 2 c latest heart scan!! Im really grateful ive got this forum 2 say how overwhelmed i still am at the care i received, ive been on many wards at this hospital they have all been good but there is something different about wilsn ward, they all work as a team! Oh i also have 2 mention the roof garden which also was amazing, to have somewhere lile that 2 aid yr recovery was fab!
