About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

From visiting the nurse at the Doctors to check my ears regarding wax build up, she recommended referral by the Doctor for a hospital hearing check.

I was very surprised to hear from TRAQS the following week with a number to ring, which was for Specsavers. The same day as my hearing examination I was fitted with two hearing AIDS.

My overall experience from this was it is an excellent service.

NB - I was not seen by the GP at any stage - no choice - Doctor had referred me to specialist.

We note that you were referred via your GP after seeing a nurse. Your practice felt that it was not necessary for you to see your GP as the nurse was able to treat your condition.
