very poor quality of care provided by the oncology department at this hospital. Despite being diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in July my father is yet to receive a proper consultation with an oncology consultant to discuss his treatment and symptoms. I learned more about my fathers condition in 40 minutes speaking to a nurse at the charity organisation prostate cancer uk than I have in 4 months trying to deal with so called specialists at this hospital. He continues to suffer with constant pain and symptoms yet when an appointment is actually arranged to see the oncology consultant the consultant doesn't even bother to show up!

I am extremely sorry and disappointed to learn that you feel your Father's care in relation to his recent diagnosis of prostate cancer (in July this year) has been so poor. We consider all feedback important and certainly when issues such as yours are raised, we would like to have the opportunity to investigate these matters more closely so that wherever possible matters can be resolved and we can then offer you a more thorough response.
