"A and E West Mid Hospital - Head Injury"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Anything else?

I had to attend this Department due to an unfortunate accident sustained at Twickenham Rail Station due to a faulty passenger chair. I had a profusely bleeding head wound. The Reception Staff shrugged as I waited for over an hour with a gaping cut and bleeding. No stars for them. They could see I was shocked and distressed and they knew of my medical history of Hypertension and Osteoporosis. Once attended I was professionally treated by a team of wonderful and caring Doctors, Nurses, Radiographers who went beyond the call of duty to see I was medically ok before discharging me. I would like to thank them very much.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your experiences in our A&E department. We are pleased to hear that you were well looked after by our team as a whole. We are disappointed that your overall experience was let down by your experience at reception. We would like to hear more about this and have the opportunity to investigate further and would encourage you to contact us via our PALS team on 020 8321 6261 / pals.service@wmuh.nhs.uk. Your comments will be passed on to our whole A&E team to help us make improvements. Vicky Lauchlan Operations Manager for Emergency Care.
