I was admitted at the start of September for just under a week, when I first got onto tilgate ward, Sheila the HCA working on my bay that day made me feel so at ease being there, she told me if I ever needed anything to give her a shout, she was such a happy woman, always smiling and making jokes with the patients.
There is also two other members of staff who I would like to show my appreciation to on the ward, Dionne and felicity, again, they were such nice people to be around and made my stay in hospital that bit more bareable, always trying to make people smile, and making you feel that bit more at ease.
This really shone through when I had to have blood tests done and a new cannula, they calmed me down and took my mind off the situation.
They are all fantastic nurses and Hcas on that ward!
