"My son injured his ankle at school"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My son got off the school bus limping after injuring his ankle at school. I took him to the doctors to see the nurse but there were not any free appointments so we were told to go to the hospital on a Friday night.

We chose to go to the Norfolk and Norwich as we have always been happy with the treatment we have received there and because our closest hospital has twice before sent us to the N & N anyway.

We expected quite a wait as our closest A&E usually takes hours. To our surprise my son was triaged, x-rayed and given after care within the hour. I was very impressed with the staff and how quickly we were in and out.

We are pleased to know that your son received such prompt treatment on a Friday night at A&E. Your message will be passed to the A&E matron.
