"Patient care"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

Anything else?

Sorry, but another issue - unrelated to mum's severe condition but which might adversely affect her recovery. Is it really healthy for a large yellow waste bin labelled as 'unpleasant waste' to be placed within a metre of a patient's bed (especially one diagnosed with pneumonia) right next to a sink used to dispense drinking water? I wonder why mum had two severe diarrhoea bouts today (which she said the the nurses handled so well and sensitively). Thankyou for that ladies.

Thank you for your comments. We would like to look into these issues further for you and would be grateful if you could contact us at corporate.affairs@chsft.nhs.uk so that a member of the PALS Team can get in touch with you to discuss your mother's care. We will leave this same message on your other feedback posts and would ask that you do contact us.
