"treatment in the oncology dept"

About: Heartlands Hospital

(as the patient),

in September 2011 I was diagnosed with cancer of my left kidney but it had spread to my lungs. within 8 weeks I was in Heartlands having my kidney removed, I was in the ward for nearly 3 weeks.

the ward staff, (doctors, nurses, cleaners dinner ladies. admin people) were all excellent, nothing was to much trouble, it would not have been any better if it was private.

the operation went well and I now attend the oncology dept every month for treatment for my lungs which is going very well.

Dear marine1,

I am really pleased to hear that the ward staff took such good care of you and that you are doing well yourself. I will pass your comments onto the Oncology Department and if you can let me know which ward you were on I will ensure that they are informed of your praise.

Kinds regards

Iona
