"Cataract operation at Rotherham General"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I had to attend the Ophthalmology department at the Rotherham District General hospital last month to have a cataract operation on my left eye. A medicar was arranged for me and I was taken up to the ward by the driver who was most helpful. The nursing staff were all very kind and I received excellent attention. When my turn came I was taken to the operating theatre and the staff there attended to me in a pleasant and efficient manner. The surgeon performed the operation and he too was very kind and pleasant. After the operation I was given my medication with instructions how to deal with it and the nurse arranged for a medicar to take me home.

I felt that the operation was a success and am most grateful to all the staff concerned.
