Anything else?
My husband has been admitted 3 times to QE hospital. First to A&E, on to wards 1 and 2. Then ward 16, where he is still receiving treatment. On each admission he has had excellent care. . The A&E department staff, working in pretty wild conditions (patients screaming, crying, going bonkers, etc) showed nothing but professionalism, care and understanding. Wards 1 & 2 showed they were well run wards dealing with many different types of patient. They were always happy to answer my questions and reassure me. The most deserving of praise is ward 16. The staff all seem happy working together and committed to giving the best possible care to their patients. Outstanding staff and the ' front-line' doctors who have never tired of my questions and managed to balanced professionalism with openness and friendliness. The biggest question for any relative of a patient in hospital is 'do I trust the people treating them?'. My answer is yes, you can trust the staff of QE - I'm a trained journalist and a bit of a control freak and every time I leave my husband I fell total confidence in his carers from cleaner to consultant. I think QE is getting things right in very difficult conditions. Many thanks.
