Anything else?
I moved from Birmingham shortly before I was due to give birth, so went from being under the care of a tertiary centre (Birmingham Womens') to a much smaller district general hospital, and was quite nervous! I am also a doctor (I don’t work in Hereford!), and as such, I possibly have higher expectations than the average patient. I ended up having a complicated delivery resulting in an emergency C-section under General Anaesthetic, and as such was also quite a demanding patient! I was blown away by the care I received in Hereford; my high expectations were surpassed and I cannot imagine receiving better care anywhere. All doctors, midwives and HCAs involved in my care were professional, but attentive and personal, and I really felt looked after. I cannot fault any aspect of my care and would like to thank all of the staff involved in looking after me and my baby girl on the delivery suite and maternity ward. My only concern is that, on the evening I left, there was only one midwife to look after the whole of the maternity ward! This needs to be improved, or risk losing the fantastic staff that you have, or lowering the high standards you have set.
"Faultless - fantastic staff, excellent facilities."
