"Lack of communication"

About: The James Cook University Hospital

Anything else?

I am a paediatric patient (supposedly) being treated here. I am supposed to have an appointment every 6 months, last year I waited 11 months and my last appointment was in December 2012 (now October 2013), and I have no appointment scheduled yet. Also I was prescribed a medication in 2011 although it took until early 2013 for me to actually find out about this prescription due to the lack of communication between my GP and this department, these are only a few of many issues I have with this department.

Good morning Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you have cause to complain about the lack of treatment you have received from The James Cook University Hospital's Rheumatology Department. I am concerned to learn you have not yet received an appointment, and the communication problems you have experienced. I should be grateful if you would contact the Patient Relations Department on 01642 854500 at your earliest convenience, to provide me with further details, to enable us to investigate your concerns as soon as possible. Kind regards Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Co-ordinator
