"lack of information about an MRI"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital The Royal London Hospital

(as the patient),

After an accident that damaged my eye socket I had a metal plate inserted. 7 years later I NEED an Mri through an injury leading to long-term pain to find out what's wrong but cannot have it done without first giving them details of my implant (go make sure it's safe for the scanner) I've spent the past 10 days trying to get this information.........unfortunately my Mri is about to be cancelled as I still haven't been able to find out the information......surely if this information is something a patient will need in the future it should be given at the time of the operation? Last thing I needed was to spend the last 10 days calling/chasing people and still not get what I need........I've no idea where this leaves me so I'm off to call yet again someone else to fight for what I need..........
