"Veteran support at the Woodlands helped me to move on"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / The Woodlands (inpatient unit for substance misuse)

On behalf of the Service User

The support at the Woodlands helped me to move on in a constructive and positive way after discharge especially Shaun (Staff Member at the Woodlands) for his involvement regarding veteran support which helped me in many ways while at the Woodlands. Due to Shaun also being Veteran himself and a supportive staff member made it easy to talk with him. Having someone from a military background working in the NHS is a great asset and invaluable.

best wishes to Shaun the very best of success and his support for Veterans. The recovery groups were very good during my stay.

I thank all the staff members at the Woodlands and wish them all great success for the future.

Many many thanks for taking the time to leave us this feedback and I'm so glad you have had a positive experience with us at The Woodlands.

Needless to say, we all think Shaun "is a great asset and invaluable", the work he does he at The Woodlands is always greatly appreciated, by veterans and non veterans alike.

Your post is particularly motivational to us here at The Woodlands as the recovery (group) programme and support for our veterans are two aspects of the Woodlands experience we have been paying particular attention to of late, striving to make both as robust and effective as possible. So thanks once again for your kind words and I would like to assure you that we will continue to develop these two areas further!
