Anything else?
Attended A&E following an accident. Was told I would be seen promptly and seated in the department. Waited 3 hours to be seen by an incredibly rude nurse practitioner who told me she didn't believe my symptoms and sent me away with inappropriate treatment. Had to wait over an hour after being offered pain relief as nobody knew where the keys were. Children were running riot in the department unchallenged around the cubicles, particularly around a very distressed couple in a cubicle. On discharge I went to A&E at the QE where I was seen in an hour by a consultant in a clean, quiet department. She informed me my pain was worsening due to inappropriate treatment at Heartlands. I won't be using this department again and definitely would not recommend it. Save yourself time and stress and go to the QE.
