About: King's Mill Hospital

Anything else?

My husband recently attend the ED department after suffering what we thought was a twisted knee.......turns out he had in fact Broke it! The Nurse that was in attendance was fantastic, kind, professional and always kept us informed as to what was going on........even telling us that he was just waiting on a phone call. (He was brilliant and a credit to the team) The Doctors that came down and assed the situation were also fantastic..........explained everything and what could happen next. They made sure he was comfy and pain free or at least as much as they could without admitting him! The only down fall has been the fracture team........he was seen the next day in fracture clinic and what a shambles that was!!!! No one knew a thing about he's problem, the Docs the day before had explained that it was serious enough to need surgery and would be in touch with him regarding this............he is still waiting to have a scan and to be seen by a consultant who isn't keen on surgery! to us this just seems to be a money saving exercise at the expense of my Husbands future.............While We are very thankful and pleased your ED staff who should be rewarded for their efforts.........the follow up care needs serious work! And Fast! Before it costs someone dearly!
