There was an apparent lack of co-ordinated planning or any basic care plan for me as an individual. The so-called "triage" was appalling. It took four hours for them to take basic information and weigh me. I was left sitting in one room for hours. I was told that they needed to take my blood and then walked off for another few hours. I was told twice more they were going to take blood but failed to do so. Eventually a junior Doctor tried to take blood but couldn't get any from two different locations on my arm. It was an extremely painful experience. On the third attempt, a tiny amount was taken and I was told it probably wasn't enough anyway. I was then told I needed an x-ray and a scan. I was sent for an x-ray after 6 hours waiting. Then I was told I would be admitted to a bed. This was late in the evening, I arrived after a GP referral in the morning. I was told they couldn't give me anything for my pain because the person who could authorise drugs was busy. I said I will get my own painkillers from a relative which I did. After asking different members of passing staff what was happening, I couldn't get an answer as each member didn't know anything. Since my arrival early in the morning I was told not to eat or drink anything. Then out of the blue at 9 o'clock in the evening, I was told that I could now eat and drink. This was 27 hours after my last meal and 3 hours after food was available. I was offered nothing to eat of drink that night. I was finally given strong pain killers and a managed about two hours sleep. Next morning I was told that I now wasn't going to have a scan and that the severe pain I was suffering was a mystery. I was told I could probably go home later that day and take strong painkillers. . The main problem was lack of information, Different Doctors were contradicting each other. One said I would need an ultrasound scan and another said x-rays, another said a CT scan would be best and then the last one said none of those were needed. I am now at home, in a lot of pain and no wiser. I feel utterly let down
