I woke up one Sunday feeling dizzy and called the 111 service for advice. The operator asked me a series of questions then advised that I would need to speak to a doctor.
A doctor called me half an hour later and asked me a series of questions, some the same as the earlier ones. He asked me to go to the Mayday hospital to a Pathways clinic. Here I was seen by a nurse practitioner who showed me through illustrations what the problem was and explained why I had these dizzy spells. This is the first time anyone has explained it to me, considering I have had problems since birth I found this excellent. I was given tablets and information sheets giving further details.
