I have just had major Orthopedic Surgery in the Treatment Center and was discharged a few days ago. I had a time slot of 230PM and although I did not get clerked in until much later all ran smoothly. I was taken into Theatre and had my operation under a spinal block. All the staff were wonderful and put me at ease throughout the operation. The staff in recovery were lovely combining care compassion and banter during my stay with them which again put me at ease even ringing my husband to let him know i was in the recovery room. Transferred up to Swift Ward to a room on my own and it was there the wonderful care was second to none. They could not do enough for me from continual pain relief to just making sure i was comfortable. Although i lost my appetite post op the food i had was delicious and hot! The Physio exercises was tiring but very much needed and again the therapists were fantastic. I was discharged with medication, instructions follow up appointments and lastly one very content and happy post op patient. Thank you Lister Treatment Center...
