Anything else?
I had an admission to Ward 1 Broadgreen hospital between 25th - 28th October. It was my first experience of being a patient and I was a bit nervous. I just wanted to say how great all the staff were. Each one explained what they were going to do and made me feel very relaxed. All the staff, from the nurses, doctors, and domestics to the physiotherapists and OTs, they were all very cheerful and encouraging. I just wanted to make two suggestions from my observations as a patient. The day was very long a TV, even a shared Ward TV would have passed the time. There wasn't even a radio to listen to. As it is an orthopaedic ward I expect that most of the patients aren't very mobile so were unable to get something to read from the shop. The other thing was to have the Ice-machine accessible for the visitors or patients to get ice from ,to save the busy ward staff having to get it each time the patient wants to help the swelling.
"A couple of suggestions"
