"Refused a test for what substance I was spiked..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

I was taken to A&E as my drink had been spiked whilst being in a night club. My friends informed the nurse seeing to me that I had been spiked, however the nurse decided without a thorough examination or investigation that this was self inflicted and that I had drank too much alcohol... My symptoms exactly matched the effects of Ketamine. A Doctor did not even examine me before he assumed that this was the affects of alcohol. My mother fearing for my health was left informed of their intentions, I was asked to give a urine sample, which we later discovered was only a test for pregnancy before I was given an anti-sickness drug. My mother asked for them to test me for the substance that caused me condition, but the nurse refused to co-operate. I was put on a drip, and left to it. I was lucky enough to have gained consciousness after 4 hours. I was immediately discharged. The next morning I was unable to walk or stand unsupported, I was extremely nauseated and no recollection of what happened at the Hospital. I have no doubt that this was a drug that caused this, however due to the lack of cooperation or information I know cannot report the incident to the police because there is no sufficient evidence to what substance was given to me. Not only that, if my condition had deteriorated they would not have known what they were up against and it could have caused more problems. Ketamine is an extremely dangerous drug that can be used as a horse tranquilizer, it can be potentially fatal to humans... I was lucky... I will look to writing a formal complaint about this.
