What I liked

My partner recently gave birth to our first son Thomas at the hospital's midwife led maternity unit. On their behalf I would like to offer our thanks to the midwives and staff that looked after them during their stay, and highly commend the care and professional support offered during the birth and afterwards.

The accommodation was also first class, with the private ensuite facilities allowing us the quiet space and rest needed for a speedy recovery.

In a culture where it appears fashionable to blame and complain about the facilities offered by the NHS, I feel it is only appropriate to highlight areas where it does work. It obviously does in this instance.

This is a truly exceptional facility which deserves to be acknowledged.
