"Ambulance crew and treatment at Southampton..."

About: Southampton General Hospital

Anything else?

I am writing to express my appreciation of the service we received from the ambulance team that attended our home at around 9.00am on Sunday 27th October. Unfortunately I was too distracted to note the serial number of the ambulance. Although my wife's situation may strictly speaking have been outside their remit, nevertheless they treated her with kindness and consideration. Their attitude did a great deal to alleviate the distress she was suffering. Likewise the doctor who examined her at A&E at Southampton General Hospital was extremely patient. He too was very thoughtful and considerate and spent as much time as was necessary to calm and reassure her. I am sure that their simple humanity has done a great deal to help her along the long road to recovery. They are true professionals who are a credit to the NHS and to themselves. I do hope you will be able to pass on to them the grateful thanks of myself and my wife.

Thank you very much for posting your feedback and for your kind comments about the staff from the ambulance service and the kindness and consideration of the doctor who saw your wife in the A&E Department. We will pass your thanks on to the ambulance service and staff in the A&E Department who are always so appreciative of such positive feedback. We hope that your wife is continuing to make a good recovery.
