"Car Park System spoils an otherwise lovely..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Anything else?

Hi, just one observation, there is a rather user un-friendly car park system. for your consideration 1) the keyboard is low and unreadable at night. I saw many people kneeling on the ground struggling to use it. Suggest raising up to a useable level. 2) on two occasions the system just displayed "Not in Use". 3) the lighting above one of the machine was broken for several days and people advised me in gest to bring a torch. 4) If you over run the time by 5 minutes, you have to buy another half an hour. 5) there are no canopies over the ticket machines, so at night in the rain they are very very difficult to use. 6) perhaps consider renewing the system and using one of the normal ticket with barrier systems. best regards

Dear Madam, Firstly, thank you so much for your 5 stars for the Gynaecology department at North Tyneside Hospital. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to share your reflections on the new car parking system. We do understand that the introduction of the new parking system involves a period of settling in and that this has highlighted areas for adjustment or change. We currently have a working group who are listening to the experiences of our patients and working very hard to identify how we can improve their experience of the parking system. I will ensure that your comments are shared with this group and with Steven Bannister - our director of estates. Best Wishes, Annie Laverty
