I had Spinal Surgery in April 2012. From My consultations to surgery to recovering on the ward I received outstanding care and attention to a very high level. I was obviously nervous about my surgery but had no need to be!! The staff made me feel at ease and their confidence was encouraging. I recovered on Sheppard Ward and was made to feel safe in my recovery. The food was great and the nursing staff , health care assistants and Physiotherapy staff were truly fantastic and aided me in a speedy recovery. My surgeon and his team are in my eyes Heros!! My operation was a complete success and I am eternally grateful to them. The kindness of the Doctors on my ward and the pain team were also brilliant. I am very very lucky to be have such a wonderful Hospital near to my home and would recommend it to everyone. The kindness, care and first class attention to all patient needs is truly outstanding. The NHS is a wonderful service which we are very lucky to have . Thank you to everyone involved during my Hospital stay.
