"It's like a family and we wouldn't go elsewhere"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

(as the patient),

Standards have slipped - cleanliness - patient nos/types inc but basically QMC has stayed throughout - and though not overly flushed I suspect with funds, ensure a good and v caring service for their patients - been going now for 25yrs on a regular basis, have been out and in patient acute, general and surgical. Been well looked after always and consultants that I've seen have been excellent.

Have opted to have eye surgery there again in Jan 2014 and if they can't fix the problem then doubt that anybody can or will. Friends have said the same - one friend been patient for same length of time as me has no complaints. Another of our friends died there recently and we understand he and family were cared for well and compassionately.

Good chaplain and support services at QMC and practical assistance for bereaved families, top class. Always been well thought of locally as a hospital - has its own med school - for the NHS even with its carbuncles, the QMC persists and those of us 'oldies' love it. It's like a family and we wouldn't go elsewhere. It's great.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with your feedback. It’s great to hear our patients are proud of their local hospitals and feel safe and confident in our care. It would be helpful to know more about your observations regarding declining cleanliness standards so that we can address these accordingly.
