About: Good Hope Hospital

Anything else?

Came with daughter at 5:15pm on Friday 18th we were not seen by a doctor till 9:15,the daughter was in severe pain she was not given any kind of pain relief there were lots of nurses standing about but no doctors one of the patients sitting waiting had gastro-enteritis we were informed by his wife and we had to ask the nurse to remove him from the waiting room were he had been sitting for about 1 hour finally we were seen by a doctor and daughter was sent to ward21 when got to ward one of patients appeared to have dementia and was shouting and banging the guard rails on her bed a nurse only to came tell her to be quiet and did not ask if she needed anything. The daughter was told she needed a scan and stayed over Friday night but she have to wait till Monday as they do not do them of a weekend she could stay or go home and come back we then informed they did do scans on a Sunday but we have to ring in morning we rang but there was no space for a scan. We rang this morning Monday only find out you lost the daughters notes and they had no information about her blood test results we are now waiting for you to ring back to see whether you have found them you have rang to say you found them paperwork but it had not been filed in properly so you will had to sort it out before she can have a scan today if we had not phoned she would not have had her scan today What a nightmare.
