About: Milton Keynes Hospital

Anything else?

I gave birth on the 7th July 2013 to my second child. Just wanted to let people know how lovely and fantastic the midwifes were. They were great and made feel calm, and looked after from the moment I arrived. We arrived at hospital around ten pm and I gave birth around one am. One was a student and never left my side. They work very long hours and I feel that they do not get enough credit for what they do. We are quick enough to moan but never seem to have the time to praise. I stayed in hospital for 5 days as I was on medication and the wards were packed. I cannot fort the staff at all. It was one of the hottest weeks of the year and with no aircon made it unbearable. The ward was understaffed and the poor staff had to work very hard. The food was very poor, I am lactose intolerant and was not able to eat breakfast or the food had to rely on people to bring me in food.

Thank you very much for your positive comments regarding the midwives at the hospital, we are sorry we did not get everything right during your stay. It is always very much appreciated by staff when patients and their families take the time to give feedback on their experience and your comments will be shared with all staff involved. Milton Keynes Hospital would like to apologise for the length of time it has taken to reply. Thank you.
