"My mother"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

(as a relative),

My mother is in Twinning ward as I write this and my brother is there with her. My mother has clots in her legs and lungs. The reason I write this is today she was to have a MRI scan but didn't get it done.

They had given her the highest dose sedative and injection but they seemed were too impatient to allow it to work as my brother overheard the scanner nurse say they needed to leave.

The sedative began to work in an hour or so.

They have told us they are going to try again tomorrow with a general anesthetic, which is a deep concern to us.

In past few hours my mum has become in a bad way and we think it is because the doctor gave her too much sedative.

She has a high temp and high blood pressure too, she's sleeping but seems to be hallucinating.

They are doing an ECG of her heart and the nurse looks to have called the senior nursing team down to discuss it. To us this as this is extremely bad as whoever okayed all has appeared to have overdosed her.

This is why a loved one is needed, to be present to witness and take control of a situation, as unfortunately we are all a number!
