"Care in Ward 9 is second to none"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

Anything else?

My elderly, very frail and often difficult relative recently spent months in Ward 9 . mid-April to mid-September. Her care was exemplary, being carefully planned around her own needs on a daily - often hourly - basis. The Ward Manager and all of his staff, and the Geriatric Consultant could not have been more positive and kind. The ward was clean, bright and welcoming, and the generous and cheerful support of every member of staff, was something for which I will always be grateful both on behalf of your patient and on my own account. Because her care and her transfer to a Nursing Home were so carefully planned, she is now well-settled in her new home. The outcome could have been so very different. Thank you all for your help.

Thank you for taking the time to post such a descriptive compliment about your relative’s stay and care on Ward 9. I was delighted to read such a compliment regarding their care and treatment and have forwarded your comments onto Matron Connelly, the Matron responsible for Ward 9, who was very pleased to read them. Matron Connelly will share with all the staff the glowing comments you have made. It is always rewarding and such a boost to morale to receive such positive comments. Your compliment will also be shared with the Chief Executive and our Director of Nursing. Thank you
