Anything else?
I attended the A&E at the Lister (my choice) in late August 2013, with long term acute back pain. I had previously attended 2 other General hospitals A&E that week without any scans taken of my kidneys, though eventually diagnosed as possible kidney stones? The Lister were courteous and thorough, and provided a scan of my kidneys. I was told by the A&E doctor to attend my GP surgery for intention to follow up with treatment at the Lister. To date, I have not been provided with any appointment, despite a follow up request advised my GP surgery (Highview, Potters Bar), this now over 5 weeks past. I would give the A&E at the Lister almost 5 stars, if not for one frivolous comment from a doctor, who was aware of my extreme pain, but out of the blue told me not to be a Wos about it? Sadly as regards the alleged expedited request from my GP surgery being apparently ignored, this by the Lister, my rating is very low. This matter is being investigated at this current time. My intention is to be treated (stones crushed) at the Lister, but this does not appear to have been accepted by the Lister, despite Highview Medical centre confirming verbally they had pursued this path, with an alleged follow up? Overall my experience at the Lister was excellent; unfortunately the system of follow up treatment is disappointing, as well as still painful.
"Great A&E but Surgery appointment request suspect."
