My husband has been suffering from severe pain in his legs as a result of a problem with his spine. The Consultant carried out a laminectomy on 8 October and my husband was able to come home the next day. free of pain and able to stand up straight for the first time in a long time. The care and attention that he received both in clinic and when he came into hospital was excellent both from the Consultant, his surgeion and also the anaesthetist and the nursing staff on Sahara B ward. I should add that my husband is 85 years old and I had been concerned about the operation. Everything was done to reassure me that every care would be taken and it certainly was. The whole experience could not have been better.
