"Best Tradition of NHS"

About: Sunderland Eye Infirmary

Anything else?

Sunderland Eye Infirmary opened in 1946 and it typifies the NHS at its post-war best. My visit was for a glaucoma assessment - pretty small beer really. However, nothing was too much trouble. The condition was carefully explained to me, the tests carried out with care and the nurses charming. Thank you!
