"Great Care"

About: York Hospital

Anything else?

I had the misfortune of suspected appendicitis and was taken to York A+E. The staff there were good and treated me well, with dignity and respect. They explained everything they did to me, and I felt I was in safe hands and was being looked after. I did not have much monitoring my the nurses but that was not a problem as I believe it was due to the fact that the ambulance crew who had brought me in stayed with me, as I had been working with them at the time. My only slight complaint was that whilst the crew thought I should be in a cubicle, the nurse wanted to put me in triage. It was only after examination by a passing paramedic that I was deemed ill enough to require a cubicle. Other than that everything was fine.
