"Treatment After Myocardial Infarction"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Anything else?

Within four hours of having a myocardial infarction (heart attack) my mother was taken to Kettering from Northampton by ambulance, had surgery and was back on the ward sitting up and drinking tea!! The speed and quality of treatment was outstanding. We were kept well informed at all times as to what was happening. The staff on the ward gave my mother excellent treatment and the general cleanliness was very good. The only downside was the same sex ward. Also when the patients is discharged from the ward they are moved to the discharge lounge two floors up. The actual discharge was very lengthy with the discharge lounge being very busy and chaotic when my mother could have done with peace and quite in a restful environment.
