I have nothing but respect for this hospital from the consultant, theatre staff, nurses, phisiotherapy, cleaning staff, catering staff & reception. (plus anybody else that i have missed) The consultant arranged for MRI scan after consultation & wanted to see me saturday morning after his theatre to talk about the scan, he thought the only way forward was an operation on my spine (in the neck area) to prevent further neurological losses, he explained everything to me then gave me 6 days to talk with family & return to come to a mutual decision. After my procedure the consultant & anethiatist came round and explained what they had done and checked everything okay. All areas was very clean, being cleaned on regular basis Anything you needed you only had to ask, nothing too small & dealt with quickly All the staff tried to make your stay as comfortable as possible. After procedure staff would check if you needed any help washing etc and would help if you needed any. Visitors could get beverages whilst they were visiting family at a small cost which could be taken back to the bedroom. Seperate rooms available with tv, phone and onsuite facilities. I expect i will have the same treatmet when i return for phisio & 6 week surgical follow up. On discharge I was given information i needed & told if I had any queries to ring them and they would try to sort them for me.
