What I liked

I have tried to use choose and book(C&B) on line but would like to make a number of comments which together make the system cumbersome and not user friendly.

When looking for the services provided at Hope there is no gynaecology dept. listed nor the names of the consultants with waiting times listed.

When booking appointment on line there is no information regarding which consultant you are booked with nor a choice given - important re this speciality as having found out by other means which consultants are in the department there are both male and female.

When then going to telephone choose and book to be able to have that info. you have to wait an hour after logging off from C&B to be able to make appointment.

All the staff I spoke to at Hope and C&B were extremely helpful but constrained by a system which clearly could do more to be user friendly

Gynaecology is available on Choose & Book and we are commissioned by Salford PCT to provide this service. We don't know which locality you are from and if you are from outside the area, there may be a possibility that this service is not commissioned by the PCT in your locality. However, on the NHS Choices website under Salford Royal, there are 5 Gynecology Services available at the hospital. The information on CaB is quite generic and no hospital lists their consultants’ details. However we will look to see whether there is the possibility of providing additional information through our website.
