"Super midwives made all the difference"

My son was born at Good Hope with no complications. It wasn't the birth my partner and I had planned at all; we hoped for a water birth in a midwife led unit. With that not being possible, we were unsure about hospital care. We needn't have worried. From the minute we met our midwife Louise, we were filled with confidence and felt we were in the right place. She stayed with us until our little boy was born, going over her shift to make sure we were settled and happy.

I cannot praise the midwives enough. What might have been an anxious time out of our control, was instead a calm, positive and empowering experience resulting in the safe delivery of our son. Many thanks to all on the delivery suite at Good Hope.
