"Sentinal node biopsy"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Anything else?

Considering I got off to a very bad start when my operation was cancelled on the day, having arrived from Reading, I now only have really positive things to say. Starting with the consultant's secretary phoning me on that very day to arrange another admission, right through to the results of my biopsy the team have been very caring and compassionate. When I saw my consultant before the operation he apologised for the last minute cancellation the week before and I felt he really cared, in particular when I attended my last appointment I was really impressed by his personal involvement and the care from the nurse. In general I have to thank the NHS for the speed in which they arranged appointments, the opportunity to have a sentinel node biopsy, the expertise of the plastics team and the brilliant work they have done. Thank you !
