"Emergency care for a 10 year old"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Arrowe Park Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had an accident while out with his scout group. He was brought by ambulance to Wirral University Hospital and was seen in the children's A&E department - it was 9. 30 at night.

The staff were efficient, professional and very caring particularly the doctors. As a parent it was very distressing but they couldn't have been more supportive. My son was tucked up in the paediatric ward before 1am. He had reconstructive surgery the next day which went went - I believe this is in part as a result of the quick and thorough action taken by the A&E team.

Thank you.
