"As a former member of staff and ..."

About: North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Royal Bolton Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

As a former member of staff and also a patient, i have to say the staff do an admirable job under the circumstances. The lack of resources etc are not the fault of the Trust itself. My last experience of being a patient was pretty good. pain was kept under control. I had fallen off a ladder and could not move, And also i feel that the Ambulance service do not always get the recognition that they deserve, in many cases they are the first contact with the patient. The only problem i had was being given 2 different diagnosis by 2 different drs.

What could be improved

Drs liase more, being told you have a chipped bone in your back, then being told you have not,, then later being told you have can be very distressing i was in enough pain at the time.

It is good to know that you were happy with most of your care. We do appreciate that conflicting information is very worrying for patients but hope that you are now clear about your back and that any treatment is going well.
