"Unsafe cups for tea and shortage of hot drinks"

About: The Royal London Hospital

Anything else?

Fantastic hospital. Renal ward excellent. My only gripe is that the tea is served in flimsy plastic cups that are meant for water and which is really a health and safety issue as the heat comes through even though the cups are doubled. Why can't we have tea in proper cups and saucers like we used to, is it because the staff do not want to wash up ? Also the last hot drink of the day is served late afternoon and we get no other hot drink until the following morning. This is a long time to go without a hot drink. Why can't the hospital employ staff to come round at about 8.9 pm with a hot drink like they used to in the old days ? If not, what about putting hot drinks vending machines on the wards ? Something so simple for a State of the Art Hospital. I have already contacted the patients liaison staff with these questions but so far they have not answered my questions.
