Anything else?
I was 6 weeks pregnant when I started to bleed, my husband took me to A and E the staff there were wonderful very caring and respectful. They carried out tests and referred me to bleeding in early pregnancy clinic the following day. I attended the bep clinic where I hadca scan and told baby was still there and a follow up appointment was made for 2 weeks to check again. However 1 day later I was having heaving blood loss and severe pain, my husband rand bep clinic only to find they were only open 9-12! So we rang back next day only to be told there was no appointments left and we would have to wait until monday ( only open mon-fri) so you cannot have a miscarriage after 12pm or on a weekend! We were given no support guidance or advice we are left to trawl the internet forums for answers from other unhappy people who have suffered a miscarriage alone! I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of care for people in a terrible situation. I called the midwife unit to ask for advice I was huffed at and told it was probably a miscarriage! Only because I was a nurse do I know not to use tampons but what about others in the same situation I feel so alobe and completely ashamed of the way the NHS have failed people.
