I felt compelled to write a review to thank the phenomenal staff at the labour ward for the safe delivery of our baby Vincent. From the first examination in early stage labour to the moment of delivery, I felt supported, reassured and extremely well looked after. two members of staff were warm and professional and made me feel safe and supported, another member of staff was exceptionally attentive and clearly very experienced. He put my mind at ease throughout the whole experience, he worked with my wishes and concerns and has a special air of competence which made me feel safe. His student placement assistant was exceptionally mature and calm for his years and will no doubt go on to do great things. The emergency doctor who helped deliver our baby safely is nothing short of an angel in my eyes. We were also hugely impressed with the aftercare services provided by two young carers and the ever attentive nursing staff in the maternity ward. I was inspired and touched by the exceptional care and dedication all the staff put into our birth experience. I wasn't expecting staff to make a special trip to visit me and Vincent the day after the delivery. Staff such as these are worth their weight in gold. If you have any concerns about an upcoming arrival of a new baby, rest assured you will be looked after in every possible way and treated with dignity and respect. Mrs Sylvia Fanning
