"No neo natal beds for 2 days"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Maternity

(as a friend),

I'm disgusted that a pregnant lady was booked in for a planned C-section over a week ago. She has had to go 22hrs with no food due to no neonatal beds in your hospital and Birmingham, when the baby has a cardiac condition and needs surgery after being born.

To come in everyday on spec, when she has other siblings, to see if there is a bed is shocking.

Dear Iphem, I am really sorry to hear about the experience you have had with the Maternity Unit. If you would be kind enough to provide me with your details I will certainly look into this for you.

Kind regards

Margaret
