"Thank you for my daughter's care"

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff on the Children's Ward at Wexham. They were first-rate and absolutely amazing.

We have just returned home from 1 weeks stay. From the moment we arrived at the hospital, the A&E staff treated my daughter with the utmost care and respect. They had a difficult decision to make, as to which department would be the most proficient to care for her and that took some time.

However, once on the children's ward the nurses were kind, thoughtful and gave my daughter clear instructions every step of the way. The staff took our opinions into account and listened very carefully to what we had to say.

The Consultants were outstanding in their professionalism and ability. They were straight forward and clear in their decision making, which took a great deal of worry out of the situation. They wanted us to ask questions and this was beneficial as we could convey our concerns, which were listened to and dealt with, putting our minds at rest.

I would have no hesitation in sending any child to this hospital for guaranteed, excellent care. The ward was immaculate, beds changed regularly and necessarily, areas were cleaned every day to a high standard and kept very tidy. The food was nice, with a choice of 2 hot mains at lunch and sandwiches, or a hot choice, for supper. Parents could purchase a meal if they so wished.

The only thing I would suggest is that the technical team reconsider the overhead TV screens. They could do with an update as quite often the screens didn't work, or froze during screening possibly due to wifi connections.
