"Doctors and Nurses relationship with Carers/Family"

About: Barnet Hospital

Anything else?

Doctors and Nurses do not work well with the Patient's Carer/Family member i.e. Carer's views on the day to day needs of an elderly patient are disregarded. Elderly Patient treatment is extremely poor. No Compassion. Patient treatment is subject to age discrimination. Elderly Patient suffer from bed sores as they are left in bed for days. Poor food quality in particular vegetarian. Elderly patient left hungry & thirsty for days. Knowledge of Medication & Treatment needs for Elderly is very poor especially as they are not capable of speaking for themselves.

Your feedback with regards to respiratory medicine services at Barnet Hospital has been noted. We would like to have the opportunity to respond to your concerns raised but have no details as your feedback is annonymous to the Trust. Please contact the Trust on bcfpals@nhs.net if you wish to provide your details and get a more detailed response from the business manager for respiratory medicine. In the interim I have forwarded your comments to them already. As an organisation we are committed from learning from specific issues and from any mistakes we may have made. Hearing about where we can do better helps us to pinpoint where exactly to make improvements to the service we provide. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
