"This is the first time I have ..."

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked:

This is the first time I have visited this site. My treasured daughter Francesca -Frankie Garner was treated at machester hospital fom January 2001 -August 2002, she had ALL, she was on Borchart Wrd, I nothign but praise for all tof the staff there, especially Rob Wynn who was her doctor.

Sadly Frankie didn't survive and lost her fight in August 2002, she died at Leeds St James after being transfrred to there from Borchart Ward, Rob Wynn was away on holiday at this time and only learned of her death on his return, I truly wish he hadnt been away, I had evry confidence in him and often wonder would she be alive today - would he have seen the problem before it got too bad, she had liver failure. I dont blame Rob one bit he is a marvellous doctor , I haope he is still at Manchester carrying on with his good work.

Whenever we ( I always lived in with Frankie) were in hospital it soon got to feel like home -- a very safe place, I hope all goes well with the new hospiatl.

After Frankie's death I and her school raised quite a sum of money some of which was donated to the hospital, I hope the money was of good use though I dont know was was done with it.

I often wish I could go to the hospiatl and help out on the ward, I more than anyone know how hard the nursing staff work, they deserve all the help they can get.

God Bless all of you

Maureen Garner- Moore
