Rang 0300 303 1573 to ask what time the Phlebotomy dept (to give blood) opens in the morning. Lady who answered sharpley saying "8.30" - I then asked if there was an earlier time for patients who had to come in to give a "fasting blood" sample and she again said "8.30" and put the phone down. The reason for asking the second question was my local hospital does have the first forty five minutes dedicated to fasting blood appointments. Not at all impressed with attitude of first point of contact - this only serves the generally bad reputation of Leicester Royal Infirmary. My advice - give that lady's job someone wants to their job properly. This is not a rant but merely stating a factual observation based upon my personal experience.
