What I liked

A disagreement between my cycle and the tram lines by Piccadilly station on Sat 1 Dec resulted in a broken elbow and general bruising. The ambulance was prompt and the staff excellent. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days due to a necessary operation to mend the bone. I was impressed with the care I received on Ward 1 and the hard work the staff put into making my stay comfortable. The op went smoothly and recovery is going well. The good service has continued in my return visit to X-ray, fractures, and physiotherapy. My thanks to all concerned. Andy Coles

What could be improved

Areas of the hospital need tidying up. The staff on the ward seemed under pressure at times - too much to do with too few staff. They worked very hard, with patience.
